New Delhi. IndustrialPunch : Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) plans to acquire a 100% stake in Netherlands-based Evos for €2.56 billion, marking a major step in its global expansion strategy. The proposed acquisition will strengthen APSEZ’s presence in Europe and expand its international port, logistics and energy storage operations.

The transaction involves the acquisition of Evos from Igneo Infrastructure Partners. Evos is recognised as Europe’s second-largest independent liquid storage company, with operations in the strategic liquid bulk storage segment.

Strategic Expansion into European Markets

The proposed acquisition is expected to strengthen APSEZ’s position in the global logistics and energy infrastructure market. Evos’ liquid storage business would provide Adani Ports with an expanded presence in European markets and access to important energy and industrial supply chains.

Liquid storage terminals play a significant role in the movement and storage of petroleum products, chemicals and other liquid commodities. The acquisition would therefore broaden APSEZ’s portfolio beyond its existing port and logistics operations.

Deal Valued at €2.56 Billion

The proposed transaction is valued at €2.56 billion and will be funded through debt. The acquisition remains subject to regulatory approvals and the completion of the necessary transaction formalities.

The final completion timeline will depend on the approval process and other applicable conditions.

What the Acquisition Means for APSEZ

The proposed takeover of Evos represents a strategic move by APSEZ to expand its international footprint and diversify its infrastructure portfolio. By entering a larger position in Europe’s independent liquid storage market, the company aims to strengthen its presence across ports, logistics and energy-related infrastructure.

The deal could also provide APSEZ with a platform to participate more actively in Europe’s liquid bulk and energy storage value chain.
