Korba, 03 May : SECL CMD Shri Harish Duhan visited the Gevra Opencast Project around Noon today and conducted a comprehensive review of operations.
He emphasised the importance of increasing coal exposure over the next three months to meet production goals. The status of new contracts and the performance of existing contractors was also reviewed in detail.
CMD instructed officials to enhance Overburden Removal (OBR) and directed that this issue be proactively discussed with the contractors to ensure timely progress.
During the visit, he inspected key operational areas including the Middle Section, Lower Kusmunda, and Upper Kusmunda patches, and reviewed the status of land possession.
Monsoon preparedness of the project was also assessed during the visit.
