Smt. Vismita Tej, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal visited Talcher Coalfields of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited on 01 Sept. to review the production and augmentation of coal despatch from Railway Sidings at Talcher Coalfields.
She also reviewed the critical rail infrastructure development works at Talcher Coalfields being executed by East Coast Railway. The site visit mainly emphasized on immediate increase of coal despatch to Power Plants from Talcher Coalfields of MCL.
The visit was followed by a review meeting for resolving operational issues and increasing coal supplies.
The review meeting along with site visit was attended by Mukesh Choudhury, Director (Marketing), CIL, J K Borah, Director (Technical), MCL, A S Bapat, Director (Technical), MCL, H S Bajwa, Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road, East Coast Railway, Dibbanjan Roy, CFTM/East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar along with other senior officers of MCL and East Coast Railway.
