On 18.03.2025 at midnight, NTPC Sipat successfully completed the 720-hour trial operation of Stage 1 FGD : Unit#2 (660 MW). With this achievement, the trial operations for all three units of Sipat Stage 1 FGD (3×660 MW) have been successfully concluded, and Stage -1 FGD stands operational.
The milestone was celebrated in the presence of Shri Anil Shankar Sharan, GM (O&M); Shri S K Mandal, GM (Project) Brajaraj Rath, GM (Maintenance), HODs, Project team, Commissioning team, M/S GEPIL site team etc.
GM(O&M), GM(Proj) and GM(Maintenance) congratulated the entire team for successfully completing the 30-day trial operations for all three units within six months.
