Oil prices climb as market kicked off 2022 on positive note

Brent crude was trading around 78 dollars and 30 cents per barrel while WTI crude prices were at 75 dollars and 60 per barrel when reports last came in.

Oil prices today climbed as the market kicked off 2022 on a positive note with suppliers in focus ahead of tomorrow’s OPEC meeting, although surging COVID-19 cases continued to dent demand sentiment.
