PM inaugurates newly-built Matushri K.D.P. Multispecialty Hospital at Atkot in Gujarat

Mr. Modi said that this 200-bed multi-specialty hospital run by Patel Seva Samaj Trust will provide high end medical equipment and provide world class health care facilities to the people of Saurashtra region.

Rajkot, 28 May : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that his government has completed eight years during which they have worked for poor people with good governance and ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’. He was addressing the large gathering of the people at Atkot near Rajkot in Gujarat after inaugurating the newly-built Matushri K.D.P. Multispecialty Hospital.

Mr. Modi said that this 200-bed multi-specialty hospital run by Patel Seva Samaj Trust will provide high end medical equipment and provide world class health care facilities to the people of Saurashtra region. He said that the health care sector is developing in Gujarat day by day, which will ensure the best health care facilities to the common people. He said that when people’s efforts connect with government efforts, our strength to serve the people increases. This modern KDP Multispecialty Hospital in Rajkot is a big example of this.

Mr. Modi said that there were only nine medical colleges and only 1,100 medical seats in Gujarat in 2001. Today, there are 30 Government and Private Medical Colleges and 8,000 medical seats in Gujarat. He said that the government has made it sure that every Indian gets COVID-19 vaccine free of cost. He said that during the war time also, the safe evacuation of our middle class brothers and sisters was ensured from the concerned areas.

Mr. Modi said that the government is doing everything to provide 100 per cent facilities to the people without any discrimination. He said that the double-engine government in Gujarat has given new impetus to the development of the state in all sectors. He said that earlier the industries were developed between Vadodara to Vapi. Now, the small and medium industries are flourishing in every direction of the state. He said that the people of Gujarat will benefit from the bullet train. Highways will provide good connectivity to the port developments. The state has good air connectivity which shows the fruits of development.

Earlier, the Prime Minister visited the hospital and inspected various health care facilities. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also addressed the function. Union Ministers Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Parshottam Rupala, Dr. Mahendra Munjpara, Member of Parliament and State BJP President C.R. Patil, former Governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Vala and senior Ministers of State Government also remained present on this occasion.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will address the Sahakar Sammelan- at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. During the Seminar of the leaders of various Cooperative Institutions on ‘Sahakar Se Samriddhi’, Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Nano Liquid Urea Plant built at IFFCO, Kalol.
