File PicIn the forex market, the rupee today appreciated six paise against the US dollar. The rupee closed at 77 rupees and 53 paise against the US currency.
The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, rose 0.48 percent to trade at 102.34 in intra-day trade.
