A Supplementary Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been signed between NTPC Limited and GRIDCO Limited (Odisha) for the procurement of power from Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (3×800 MW).
The agreement was signed by Shri Subodh Kumar Pradhan, General Manager (Commercial), NTPC, and Shri Debasish Das, Director (Commercial), GRIDCO, in the presence of Shri Satyapriya Rath, IAS, Managing Director, GRIDCO. Senior officials from both NTPC and GRIDCO were also present on the occasion.
The signing of this supplementary agreement marks a significant step towards strengthening the long-term power supply arrangements between NTPC and GRIDCO, ensuring reliable and affordable electricity for the state of Odisha.
The Nabinagar (Stage-II) project, a key part of NTPC’s generation portfolio, is expected to contribute substantially to meeting the growing power demand in the region.
