As part of the 3-month campaign on Preventive Vigilance under the aegis of CVC, New Delhi, SECL CVO Shri Himanshu Jain interacted with executives of Gevra and Dipka megaprojects at Gevra House on 07 September 2025.
As part of his visit, Shri Jain interacted with area executives and officials, holding a focused session on the ongoing three-month Preventive Vigilance Campaign being observed across SECL from 18th August to 17th November.
He highlighted the importance of vigilance as a shared responsibility and underlined that transparency, efficiency, and timely decision-making are the cornerstones of good governance.
During the interactive session, Shri Jain touched upon several critical areas of vigilance and operational improvement, including:
1. Jatayu Dashboard – SECL’s performance monitoring, compliance with rules and regulations, DoP module, training programs, and speedy disposal of cases.
2. Coal Gradation – ensuring quality and credibility in grading processes.
3. Coal Production – recognizing Gevra’s leading contribution to SECL’s overall output.
4. CMPF and Employment Cases – timely resolution of employee-related matters.
5. Contract Closure – strengthening accountability through systematic closure processes.
6. Digital Initiatives – including Digi-Coal, biometric attendance, and overtime management.
7. Scrap Disposal – ensuring efficiency and transparency in asset management.
Shri Jain urged all officers and employees to adopt vigilance not merely as compliance but as an integral value in day-to-day functioning. He emphasized that proactive vigilance strengthens organizational integrity and contributes directly to SECL’s growth and credibility.
As part of the visit Shri Jain also visited Gevra mine and reviewed mining operations and production-productivity.
On this occasion AGM Gevra Area, Shri AK Tyagi, AGM Dipak Shri SK Mishra, senior officials and officers from the megaprojects, officers form Vigilance department were also present.
