Coal India Limited Chairman PM Prasad visited SECL Raigarh Area, where he was accorded a warm welcome by CMD, SECL Harish Duhan along with Director (Technical) Operations N Franklin Jayakumar, Director (Human Resources) Biranchi Das, Director (Technical) Project & Planning, Ramesh Chandra Mohapatra and senior officials of the Area.
A review meeting was held to assess the progress of key projects in the Raigarh Area. The Chairman emphasized the early commencement of major projects Pelma OCP, Porda Chimtapani OCP, and Durgapur OCP underscoring their importance in enhancing SECL’s production capacity and operational efficiency.
Following the review, the Chairman visited Baroud Opencast Mine (OCM) where he inspected ongoing operations and interacted with officials. He also visited the Baroud SILO, taking note of the coal handling and dispatch infrastructure.
At the KLP Camp viewpoint, Shri Prasad took part in a tree plantation program. During the visited Shri Prasad also felicitated employees of the Area for their valuable contributions.
