Coal India Chairman, Shri B. Sairam, is on a three-day visit to Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL). On the first day, he inspected mining operations at Bhubaneswari OCP and Ananta OCP in the Talcher Coalfields.
At Bhubaneswari OCP, he inspected the Automatic Truck Loading System (ATLS) and appreciated the team at Bhubaneswari for successfully deploying this technology.
He also held a review meeting with Area General Managers, assessing mine-wise operations, expansion plans, and key performance indicators (KPIs). The discussions focused extensively on production and logistics-related issues in coal supply.
During the visit, Chairman felicitated outstanding performers and interacted with key stakeholders, including trade union leaders and public representatives. He was accompanied by Shri Uday A. Kaole, CMD, MCL, along with senior management of MCL and Coal India.
MCL has produced over 215 million tonnes of coal in the current fiscal. Notably, four of its mines, which are among Coal India’s top 35 mines have already achieved their respective targets for the fiscal.
