MECL signs MoU with CMPDIL to undertake intensive exploration activities for energy and non-energy minerals, marking a significant milestone in India’s journey toward resource security. This MoU was signed at the CMPDI Headquarters in Ranchi, in the distinguished presence of Minister of State for Coal & Mines Satish Chandra Dubey.
The association between these two premier organizations has flourished since ages, rooted in a shared commitment to the nation’s industrial growth. For decades, MECL has been working hand in hand with CMPDI, consistently deploying its specialized capabilities, cutting-edge technology, and deep-seated expertise to unlock the nation’s mineral wealth. This MoU serves to further deepen that storied bond, creating a formidable unified front to enhance the national inventory of coal and essential minerals.
By leveraging our status as a premier exploration agency, MECL will play a pivotal role in this partnership through its drilling technologies, high-precision geophysical surveys, and advanced laboratory analytical services. Our technical expertise in resource estimation and consultancy ensures that this collaboration will accelerate the development of new mines and drastically reduce import dependency, acting as a cornerstone for a resilient economy. The ceremony was graced by prominent leadership, including Indra Dev Narayan (CMD, MECL), Chaudhari Shivraj Singh (CMD, CMPDI), and Nilendu Kumar Singh (CMD, CCL), along with CMPDI Directors Ajay Kumar, Rajeev Kumar Sinha, Nripendra Nath, Anand Mohan, alongside senior officials from MECL, CMPDI and CCL.
