Malanjkhand, June 26 (IndustrialPunch desk): RR Mishra, Deputy Director of Mines Safety (Mining), DGMS Parasia Region, conducted an official inspection of the Malanjkhand Copper Project (MCP) to review mining operations, safety practices, and ongoing development activities.
On his arrival, Shri Mishra was welcomed by Shri Nagesh Shenoy, Executive Director & Unit Head, MCP, and Shri S. K. Nag, Mines Manager.
As part of the visit, Shri Mishra inspected the Paste Fill Plant, an important facility supporting sustainable underground mining operations. He also participated in a plantation drive along with Shri G. Vijaya Bhaskar, DDMS (Electrical), reaffirming the project’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The DGMS team later carried out a detailed inspection of the MCP Underground Mine, accompanied by senior officials of the project. During the underground visit, the officials reviewed key mining activities, including production drilling operations at the 460 mRL level and stoping operations at the 240 mRL level.
The inspection also included interactions with the mine management, during which the progress of ongoing mining activities was reviewed with a strong emphasis on safe, efficient, and sustainable mining practices. Discussions focused on maintaining high operational standards while ensuring strict compliance with mine safety regulations.
The visit highlighted MCP’s continuous efforts to strengthen safety culture and operational excellence. The Malanjkhand Copper Project has recently received recognition in various DGMS Parasia Region safety initiatives and metalliferous mines safety programmes, reflecting its consistent performance in implementing best mining practices and maintaining high safety standards.
The inspection concluded with appreciation for the project’s commitment to safe mining operations, technological advancement, and continuous improvement in productivity and workplace safety.
