NTPC Mining Limited (NML) has joined hands with CSIR-IMMT to drive innovation in critical minerals research and development.
The MoU was signed by Shri Naveen Jain, CEO, NML & RED (Mining), NTPC, and Dr Ramanuj Narayan, Director, CSIR-IMMT, marking a significant step toward sustainable mining practices and resource security.
With over 134 million tonnes of coal produced since its inception, NML is now diversifying into critical minerals exploration to power India’s clean energy future.
This collaboration aims to advance technologies in coal, mineral processing and extraction industries, supporting India’s National Critical Minerals Mission and the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Together, NTPC Mining and CSIR-IMMT are committed to leveraging cutting-edge research for transformative advancements in mine planning, mineral beneficiation, and sustainable mine closure practices.
