The journey of Gunwatta 2025 took place from 29th to 31st July 2025, during which full-day project presentations were held in two parallel sessions. A total of 74 teams participated in this competition, divided into five different streams.
In Bhilai Steel Plant’s in-plant Quality Circle Competition – Gunwatta 2025, the teams from the Power & Blowing Station (PBS) department delivered an outstanding performance, bringing pride to the department.
In QC Manufacturing Support Category
Team Pravah – PBS (Ankur Rathore, Mohammad Rafi, Pankaj Rathore, Manas, Raunak, Ravi Choudhary) secured Second Place.
In LQC Category
- Team Udbhav – PBS (Chandrashekhar Som, Urvashi, Preeti) — First Place
- Team Pragati – PBS (C. N. Murthy, Sanath, Kartik Bhagat) — Eighth Place
- Team Shivnath – PBS (H. S. Gabel, Amit Singh, Sunil Rajak) — Tenth Place
On this remarkable achievement, the department’s CGM, Mr. Rajeev Pandey, congratulated all the winners and said: “Continue working with the same dedication and quality-focused approach, and keep honing your talents.”
Department Head Mr. Sheikh Zakir remarked that the PBS team has once again proved that continuous improvement, team spirit, and innovation are the keys to success.
Turbine Section Head Mr. V. S. Devangan encouraged more employees to participate in Quality Circle activities, emphasizing that this would further strengthen the culture of innovation and improvement in the department.
