SECL CMD Harish Duhan interacted with a group of 34 newly inducted Management Trainees (MTs), including one woman MT, ahead of their joining at field area postings today on 16 June 2025.
During the interaction, Shri Duhan welcomed the young professionals to SECL and shared his valuable insights drawn from rich experience in the coal sector.
He motivated the MTs to approach their roles with dedication, curiosity, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Highlighting the dynamic nature of the industry, he spoke about the vast opportunities available for those willing to learn and lead, especially at the grassroots level where transformation truly begins.
Shri Duhan also spoke about the evolving role of women in mining and leadership, underlining how SECL is committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering work environment.
He encouraged the woman MT and her peers to aspire for leadership roles, stating that the sector needs diverse perspectives and that many growth opportunities await those who are determined and proactive.
