New Delhi, 13 March : The Ministry of Coal has bestowed the additional charge of the post of Director (Finance) of the Coal India Limited (CIL) to Dr B. Veera Reddy, Director (Technical) with the state-run miner.
“Ministry of Coal vide its letter No. 21/11/2021-ESTABLISHMENT dated 22.03.2023 has communicated the entrustment of the additional charge of the post of Director (Finance), CIL to Dr. B. Veera Reddy. Director (Technical), CIL for a period of (06) six months w.e.f 29.12.2022 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earliest,” the ministry order said.
Dr Reddy took over as the Director (Technical) of CIL in February, 2022 and was given extension of tenure in November. He was also holding additional Charge of the post of Director (Marketing) of the CIL.
A B. Tech in Mining from Kothagudem School of Mines, Osmania University in the year 1986, Dr Reddy obtained First Class Managers Competency Certificate by DGMS in the year 1990. He has also completed a Master of Technology in Mine Planning from Kothagudem School of Mines, Osmania University in the year 2000.
He has worked in various capacities and was working as DT, ECL before taking over as DT. CIL. He has over 34 years of rich experience in coal mining, planning, procurement, operation & grounding of green field projects.
