Korba | Industrial Punch : In a remarkable celebration of grassroots football and youth talent, DFA Narayanpur emerged as the champions of the NTPC Korba Junior Boys’ Inter District State Football Championship 2026, organized under NTPC Korba’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The five-day championship concluded on 3 August 2026, showcasing exceptional footballing skills, discipline, and sportsmanship among Chhattisgarh’s rising stars.
Held from 30 July to 3 August 2026 at the NTPC Korba Football Ground, the tournament featured eight district football associations from across Chhattisgarh. Young footballers competed with passion and determination, making the championship a vibrant platform for identifying future football talent.
DFA Narayanpur dominated the competition with consistent performances throughout the tournament. One of the biggest highlights was their commanding 8-0 victory over DFA Balod, reflecting their attacking strength, tactical discipline, and outstanding teamwork. Their impressive campaign ultimately earned them the championship title.
The tournament served as much more than a sporting event. It reinforced NTPC Korba’s commitment to promoting grassroots sports through CSR by offering young athletes competitive exposure while instilling values such as discipline, resilience, teamwork, and fair play.
30 Players Selected for Advanced Residential Coaching Camp
Building on the championship’s success, 30 outstanding players have been selected for a 21-day residential football coaching camp scheduled from 4 August to 25 August 2026. Under the supervision of experienced coaches, these players will receive advanced technical, tactical, and physical training to prepare them for future state and national-level competitions.
NTPC Korba congratulated DFA Narayanpur for their outstanding achievement and appreciated every participating team, district football association, coach, referee, volunteer, and official whose collective efforts ensured the successful conduct of the championship.
