In a significant step towards making Badam Coal Mining Project (CMP) of NTPC Mining Limited (NML) operational, the mining lease was signed between NML-Badam CMP and the District Administration of Hazaribagh in the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office Hazaribagh on 24.05.2025.
Mining lease was signed between Smt Nancy Sahay, DC Hazaribagh and Shri. Arun Kumar Saxena, HOP Badam.
The Lease signing was done in the presence of DMO Hazaribagh, Shri Ajit Kumar ; Additional Collector Shri. Santosh Singh; BGR (MDO) and other officials from DC office and NTPC Mining Limited.
On this occasion DC Hazaribagh expressed happiness that Badam CMP was taking shape and extended her best wishes to NTPC for early start of Badam Coal Mine.
Coal production for the NML Badam Coal Mining Project is expected to begin within the current financial year.
