Operation Sindoor : In a sharp escalation of cross-border tensions, Pakistan launched eight missiles targeting multiple locations in Jammu late Thursday night. The missiles, directed at areas including Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia, were all successfully intercepted by Indian air defence systems, officials said. No damage was reported.
According to defence sources, the attacks were repelled with zero casualties, underscoring India’s robust defence preparedness and real-time operational readiness amid heightened tensions along the Line of Control.
Tactical Shift: Striking Similarity to Hamas-Style Attacks
Visuals emerging from Jammu show multiple low-cost, rapid-fire projectiles—a method drawing chilling parallels with rocket attacks carried out by Hamas against Israel.
Military analysts suggest that this marks a disturbing shift in Pakistan’s tactical approach—from conventional military engagements to asymmetric, terror-style warfare.
“This is not traditional military aggression. These tactics are intended to create psychological disruption and mimic the strategy of groups like Hamas,” a senior defence analyst told ANI.
Intelligence Points to ISI–Hamas Nexus
Further fueling concerns, recent intelligence inputs indicate a clandestine meeting between operatives of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and members of Hamas in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) last month. This intelligence, coupled with last night’s missile barrage, has led experts to believe that the Pakistani Army is increasingly adopting tactics associated with terror organizations.
“These patterns reflect a dangerous convergence between state and non-state actors, where the line between military operations and terror activities is being deliberately blurred by Pakistan,” said a top intelligence official on condition of anonymity.
India has reiterated that it remains committed to non-escalation, but reserves the right to respond proportionately to any threat to its sovereignty and civilian safety. The armed forces continue to maintain a high state of alert across the border regions.
