CMD SECL Sh. Harish Duhan visited Manikpur OC, Saraipali OC, Ambika OC, and Rajgamar UG mines of Korba Area on 4th May 2025. During the visit, he reviewed critical operational aspects and gave clear directives to fast-track approvals, enhance production capacities, and ensure monsoon preparedness.
𝗔𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗸𝗽𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝗖, he emphasized expediting the mine’s expansion from 5.25 to 7 MTY, ensuring timely acquisition of ToR, EC, and CTO by January 2026. He instructed the team to complete First Mile Connectivity within the timeline. He also called for drone-based asset surveys and urgent possession of land . Ahead of the monsoon, he asked for strengthening of haul roads and quick installation of pumps and pipelines.
𝗜𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝗢𝗖, the focus was on obtaining clearances for increasing capacity to 2.1 MTY. He directed prompt compensation disbursal and instructed teams to complete monsoon-related roadwork urgently.
𝗔𝘁 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝗢𝗖, CMD asked for immediate measures to begin production. He stressed on fast-tracking employment and R&R proposals, and speeding up approach road construction.
𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗨𝗚, he emphasized on starting of HCM operations. He also directed to pursue EC revalidation for continued operations.
He reviewed issues at other underground mines —𝗗𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘄𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗵, 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗶, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗲𝘄𝗮 — and stressed on issues related to forest clearance renewals, land acquisition for infrastructure etc.
CMD appreciated the efforts of field teams and called for strong coordination, timely action, and collective ownership to achieve the targets for FY 2025–26.
