SECL CMD Harish Duhan visited the Kusmunda Mega Project this evening to review key progress areas and ongoing preparations.
The visit commenced at the Khamariya R&R site, where he closely inspected development activities and stressed the urgency of constructing a proper entry road and entrance gate to facilitate smooth resettlement.
He then moved to the R&R site near Jatraj Village (14 No. dump), highlighting the critical role of timely and faster development of rehabilitation sites which will help in ensuring effective settlement of land oustees.
At the Neelkanth Patch, CMD appreciated the recent breakthrough in the acquisition of 16 hectares of land near Jatraj Village, marking significant progress for future expansion. He also reviewed mining operations at Neelkanth Patch B and the Departmental CAT patch.
After the field visit, he chaired a meeting of Area HoDs at the Guest House, where he underlined the importance of monsoon preparations.
He specifically called for focused efforts on slope development, reinforcement of the in-pit conveyor belt system, and strengthening of essential infrastructure to ensure operational continuity during the rainy season.
