New Delhi. Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Jitendra Singh Meena has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

This information was received from an official order. The order said Meena, a 2007
batch IPS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, has been appointed to the CBI for a period of five years.

Apart from him, four other Superintendents of Police Vinayak Verma (Madhya Pradesh
cadre), Achal Tyagi (Gujarat cadre) and Praveen Kumar (Gujarat cadre) have been appointed in CBI for five years. Indian Revenue Service officer Gaurav Mittal has been appointed SP for a period of four years.
