Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) organised an Induction Ceremony for newly appointed employees, marking an important step in strengthening its workforce and reaffirming its commitment to inclusive growth and employee welfare.
A total of 85 appointments were formalised, of which 67 were made under the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA) dependent employment scheme and 18 under the Resettlement & Rehabilitation (R&R) Policy.
The programme was attended by Shri Satish Jha, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, ECL, Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha, Director (HR), ECL, Shri Girish Gopinathan Nair, Director (Technical/Project & Planning), ECL, Shri Punyadip Bhattacharya, General Manager (HR/IR), Shri Dibyajyoti Ghosh, HoD (Employment & Recruitment), Shri Nazrul Islam, HoD (WBE) and Shri Abir Mukhopadhyay, HoD (Administration), along with senior officers and employees of the company.
The leadership congratulated the appointees and encouraged them to uphold the values of discipline, integrity and service that define ECL as a public sector organisation.
The ceremony reflected ECL’s continued focus on supporting families, facilitating dignified livelihoods and building a capable workforce aligned with the organisation’s long-term operational and social responsibilities.
