Hemant Verma is new Head of Chhattisgarh State Power Regulatory Commission

Raipur. A Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur, Hemant Verma would head the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (CSERC).

The Chhattisgarh government today issued an order to this effect. The post of CSERC Chairman went vacant after the tenure of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer D S Misra ended April this year.

Carrying a vast experience of over 29 years in the power sector, Verma is presently posted as Additional Vice President with BSES, Delhi. He had worked in different capacities in the power sector.

He had worked with Central Electricity Authority and Delhi Vidyut Board prior to taking up his assignment with BSES.
