NTPC organises second vendor meet at Raipur

While addressing the gathering, Pandey shared the roadmap of NTPC for procurement of material and services on PAN India basis.

Raipur, 17 May : The second vendor meet under the aegis of USSC (Unified Shared Service Center) NTPC was held today at the western region-II headquarters of power producer located in Nava Raipur of Chhattisgarh.

The Regional Executive Director (RED) (WR-II and USSC), A K Pandey inaugurated the meet.

While addressing the gathering, Pandey shared the roadmap of NTPC for procurement of material and services on PAN India basis. He emphasized three important principles of the procurement process that included Time, Quality and Cost effectiveness.

The vendors were welcomed by Joydeep Ghosh, GM (PPG-1, BOP), who briefed the journey of shared services from Regional shared service centers to USSC, role of PPG, new initiatives like rate contract, enlistment, and bulk procurement under the umbrella of USSC.

With around 50 vendors (100 participants), the meet enrolled the participation of major companies including Darling Pumps, Rexroth, Electro steel, Sri Nath Enterprises, WPIL, Mecgale, Sangir Plastics, Jash Engineering, Forech, Oriental Belt, Elecon, BEML, Rites, Texmaco, Ion Exchange, Finar, Eagle Burgman, De Mech, Tega Industries, Glob Tech etc.

During the interactive session, valuable suggestion was provided by the participants and queries pertaining to various issues were deliberated upon in the open forum.

Ramesh Babu V (Director of Operation) via MS Teams, A K Tripathy, ED (OS), C SivaKumar (ED, USSC) designate, Ashish Kundu (CGM, CPG-1), K L Mahobe (GM,VDC) and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
