NTPC School of Business organised ‘Indo-Scandinavian’ Leadership Conference

Mumbai, June 06, 2023: The Indo-Scandinavian Leadership Conference and Workshop was organized by the NTPC School of Business (NSB) today.

The thought leaders from various geographies deliberated on the dynamics of cultures, perceptions, and the readiness of the mind to enable adaptation in the face of changing economic and environmental circumstances. This is essential for coherence and purpose orientation in a world that increasingly calls for high levels of inclusiveness.

Gurdeep Singh, CMD of NTPC, delivered the Presidential address, focusing on NTPC’s stewardship vision to assist India in meeting its developmental aspirations through a portfolio of climate-efficient measures. These measures would ensure economic and environmental gains at the national, regional, and global levels, reinforced by India’s strategic role in the G20 eco-political landscape.

The contours of industry leadership were highlighted by D K Patel, Director (HR) of NTPC.

Shri Nathan of Deloitte India spoke about six signature leadership traits, including curiosity, collaboration, commitment, courage, cultural intelligence, and preparedness to unlearn, re-learn, and expand the mind’s horizons.

Dr. Bharat Bhaskar, Director of IIM-A, emphasized credibility and integrity as the main traits of leadership.

Dr. Arthur Carmazzi, Founder of Directive Communicative Technology, highlighted the facets and analysis of colored brain contours. Dr. Hakan Svennerstal spoke about inner leadership and psychological safety.

Approximately 150 leading professionals from domains such as disaster mitigation, community empowerment, energy efficiency, emission reduction, higher management education, bilateral and multilateral forums, and research participated in the event.
