Peddapalli, Telangana. IndustrialPunch : A team from Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) visited Singareni Collieries Company Limited’s (SCCL) Adriyala Longwall Project in Peddapalli district, Telangana, on October 27 and 28, 2026, to assess key mining installations and gain technical insights into longwall mining operations.
During the visit, the team inspected and assessed the condition of 145 Powered Roof Supports (PRS) installed in Longwall Panel No. 4. The team also reviewed the mine’s safety standards, technical arrangements and other installations.
The visit provided CMPDI officials with an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to longwall mining operations and exchange technical knowledge with their SCCL counterparts. The interaction also helped enhance the team’s understanding of operational practices and technical aspects associated with longwall mining.
The experience and knowledge gained during the assessment are expected to strengthen CMPDI’s technical expertise and prove beneficial in executing its future assignments.
The visit reflects the importance of technical collaboration and knowledge sharing between organisations in the coal mining sector, particularly in areas related to advanced mining technologies, operational efficiency and mine safety.
