New Delhi, IndustrialPunch: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has paid a final dividend of ₹283.56 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2025-26.
The final dividend cheque, representing the Government of India’s 58.17% equity holding in BHEL, was presented to H. D. Kumaraswamy, Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, by K. Sadashiv Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director, BHEL, in the presence of Kamran Rizvi, Secretary (Heavy Industries).
The company said the ₹283.56 crore final dividend for FY 2025-26 is more than two-and-a-half times the final dividend paid to the Government of India for FY 2024-25.
The occasion was attended by directors on the BHEL board as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
Total Dividend of ₹487.49 Crore
Including the final dividend, the total dividend paid by BHEL to all its shareholders for FY 2025-26 stands at ₹487.49 crore. The payment reflects the company’s continued contribution to the Government of India through dividend distribution.
BHEL is a major public sector engineering and manufacturing company operating in the power and industrial sectors. The dividend payout also highlights the financial contribution of the PSU to the government and its shareholders.
