COAL INDIA TO TRAIN 450 YOUTH IN ODISHA

CIL will help train 450 youth in Jharsuguda, a command district of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited in Odisha, to become qualified electricians, welders and auto technicians.

In a new CSR initiative, CIL will help train 450 youth in Jharsuguda, a command district of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited in Odisha, to become qualified electricians, welders and auto technicians.

This skill development project will be executed by Orion Edutech, a leading organization in the field of skill training. An MoU to this effect has been signed in the presence of Shri. Vinay Ranjan, Director (P&IR), CIL.

Skill development is a key component of the national developmental agenda under Atmanirbhar Bharat. In the last three years, over 7300 youth belonging to project affected communities living in and around CIL operations have benefitted from the employable skill training initiatives of CIL.

The training and skills taught to the youth make them industry ready and employable.
