NTPC Sipat successfully organized a two-day Station Level Quality Circle (QC) Convention on 11th and 12th July 2025, featuring enthusiastic participation from a total of 25 teams — including 13 workman teams and 12 contract worker teams.
The convention was inaugurated by Shri Vijay Krishna Pandey, Executive Director, NTPC Sipat, in the esteemed presence of Shri Anil Shankar Sharan, CGM (O&M), Shri Swapan Kumar Mondal, CGM (Project), Shri Surojit Sinha, GM(Operation) and all GMs.
During the event, participating teams showcased innovative ideas and effective solutions aimed at promoting continual improvement in operations and processes. The presentations reflected the creativity and problem-solving skills of the workforce, highlighting their commitment to quality enhancement.
The panel of judges comprising Sh Kundan Rathod, AGM(Vigilance), Sh IBM Babu, AGM(IT), Sh Pankaj Kumar Sharma, AGM(EMG) and Shri Sandeep Dharmadhikari, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur, who evaluated the teams based on innovation, practicality, and impact.
The convention served as a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing and fostering a culture of quality excellence at NTPC Sipat.
The winner of QC in employee category was Team Creative from Operation department and Team Technotech(C&I), Team Aqua ( Chemistry) and Team The Innovators ( C&I) secured Second, Third and Fourth place respectively whereas in contract workers category the winner was Team Prayas from EMD Department and Team AnurakShan (MGR) and Team Jal Tarang(Off site) secured Second and Third position.
