A three-day study visit of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy was held at Guwahati.
Jagdambika Pal, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha chaired the meeting on 8th July in which Members of Parliament along with officials of the Lok Sabha Sectt., Govt of India and participating PSUs were present.
A detailed presentation on NTPC pertaining to the company’s growth plans and efforts towards sustainability was made to the committee members in the presence of Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC Limited. Shri Singh briefed the committee on various initiatives of the company including focus on Renewable Energy and CSR initiatives.
Various PSUs and Govt of Assam, Govt . undertakings including NTPC, APDCL, DVC, Power Grid, Grid India, PFC, REC participated in the programme. Partha Mazumder, RED, ER-II, Sangeeta Kaushik, CGM, Corporate Planning, Karunakar Das, CGM, NTPC Bongaigaon, were present in the meeting.
