CMD NCL P K Sinha and Director (Technical/Operations) Dr Anindya Sinha visited Khadia area on Sunday and inspected the mine.
CMD NCL recommissioned the Vishwanath Dragline during visit. Vishwanath Dragline having bucket capacity of 20 Cubic metre is serving the nation since 1995. This recommissioning of Vishwanath Dragline will help in exposure of coal in turra ( lower coal layer of mine) seam of Khadia Area.
Dragline is one of the heaviest machine on planet used to remove overburden material above coal layer, NCL has fleet of 23 Draglines for such purpose.
