Shri E. Satya Kumar Phani has assumed the additional charge of Regional Executive Director (West-I), effective (01.11.2025), along with his responsibilities as Executive Director (DRC) and Chief Executive Officer (UPL).
An alumnus of Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Shri Phani holds a B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (1988). He also holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from IGNOU, New Delhi (2007).
Shri Phani joined NTPC on 28th February 1989 as an Executive Trainee and has since built an illustrious career marked by dedication, strategic vision, and operational excellence.
Over his more than three decades of service, he has made several significant contributions across various NTPC stations and offices, including Corporate Centre – EOC, Ramagundam, Lara, and as Head of Project, Vindhyachal.
He has also served as Regional Executive Director (West-II) and Head of Project, UPL, demonstrating exceptional leadership and commitment to organisational growth.
