With patriotic fervor and zeal, 79th Independence day celebrated at NTPC Lara. Shri Anil Kumar, Executive Director hoisted the national flag and exchange salute with CISF personnel.
In his address Shri Kumar, paid tribute to the freedom fighter and reiterated to fruitful their dream to make India a developed country.
Shri Kumar reiterated NTPC’s commitment for providing affordable power for nation building. Shri Kumar also described NTPC Lara plant is the best power station of NTPC and stood first in PLF and 4th best power station in the country. He also lauded NTPC Lara’s commitment for peripheral development under CSR-CD activities.
Adding more colour to Independence day activity children’s of Bal Bhavan, Shree Swaminarayan International Gurukul School and nearby government school presented various cultural programme based on patriotic theme.
Meritorious award, health champion award was presented to employees for their remarkable work in their respective work area.
As a novel initiative senior citizens residing with their families were felicitated on this occasion by Shri Anil Kumar, Executive Director and Smt Anuradha Sharma, President (PMS) and other dignitaries.
On this occasion, Shri Ravi Shankar, CGM (Project), Shri KCS Roy, GM (O&M), Shri AK Mishra, GM (Operation & FM), Shri Hemant Pawgi, GM (ME), Shri Shri Jakir Khan, AGM (HR), Shri DN Singh, AC CISF, HODs, members of Prerita Mahila Samiti, representatives of union and association, employees and villagers were present in large number.
