NTPC Korba, the mother station of NTPC, resonated with joy, colours, and celebration as it marked the 51st Raising Day of NTPC Limited and the 43rd Raising Day of NTPC Korba with great enthusiasm.
The occasion brought together employees, families, and guests for a grand cultural evening that reflected NTPC’s spirit of unity, excellence, and service to the nation.
The event was inaugurated by Shri Bibhas Ghatak, Business Unit Head, NTPC Korba, along with Smt. Subhra Ghatak, President, Maitri Mahila Samiti, in the august presence of Shri Satrughana Behera, General Manager (O&M), senior HODs, union and association representatives, employees, their family members, and participants.
The evening commenced with a welcome dance by the talented little children of Bal Bhawan, followed by a mesmerizing group Kathak performance that beautifully set the cultural tone.
The audience was then treated to an engaging drama by Executive Trainees (ETs) portraying the journey of work life — from the first day of joining to moments of growth and recognition — striking a chord with everyone present.
Adding to the vibrancy, the programme also featured a thought-provoking Nukad Natak on Vigilance Awareness, creatively depicting the importance of honesty, integrity, and ethical conduct in everyday life. The performance served as a powerful reminder of NTPC’s steadfast commitment to transparency and accountability.

The stage further came alive with solo Kathak and Kathak fusion performances by an international artist, captivating the audience with their finesse and artistry.
The evening continued with melodious solo and duet songs, lively dance performances, and a spectacular fashion show by the ETs, celebrating the theme Unity in Diversity — a reflection of India’s rich cultural heritage and NTPC’s inclusive ethos.
An inspiring address by Shri Bibhas Ghatak, BUH Korba, added to the evening’s significance, as he highlighted NTPC’s glorious journey and the dedicated efforts of every individual who contributes to its success.
The occasion also marked the closing ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Week. Shri RP Sharma, AGM (Vigilance), delivered a speech highlighting key initiatives undertaken at NTPC Korba to foster a culture of vigilance and transparency. The session also included prize distribution to winners of various competitions organized during the week.
The event concluded on a high note — a lovely and engaging evening filled with gaiety, inspiration, and camaraderie, reflecting the proud legacy and collective spirit of NTPC Korba as it continues to power India responsibly.
