As part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations, NTPC Korba reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility and community care by organizing a series of welfare activities at NTPC Korba Hospital.
A special Artificial Limbs Distribution Programme was conducted, where Executive Director of NTPC Korba, Shri Rajeev Khanna, along with Smt. Roli Khanna, President of Maitri Mahila Samiti, distributed artificial limbs to empowered differently-abled beneficiaries.
This initiative reflects NTPC Korba’s efforts to support inclusivity and enhance the quality of life for differently-abled individuals.
On the same occasion, several activities were held at the hospital premises:
- Prize distribution for the winners of the Best Out of Waste competition, encouraging creativity and sustainability among participants.
- Tree plantation drive, reinforcing NTPC Korba’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
- Gift distribution to admitted patients, spreading joy and care to those undergoing treatment.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rajeev Khanna appreciated the efforts of employees, CISF personnel, and Maitri Mahila Samiti in making the celebrations meaningful through people-centric and eco-friendly initiatives.
The activities highlighted NTPC Korba’s holistic approach to Independence Day celebrations—honouring the nation’s spirit of freedom while also contributing to healthcare, environment, and community welfare.
On this ocassion, Shri Bibhas Ghatak, CGM (O&M), Shri Satrughana Behera, GM (Maint. & ADM), and Dr. Vinod Kolhtakar, CMO, NTPC Korba Hospital, Shri Shashi Shekhar, Head of HR, members of Maitri Mahila Samiti, unions and association and CISF Korba team were also present.
