National Thermal Power Corporation to mark the 47th Raising Day

The main function was organised at the company’s headquarters in New Delhi where Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) Gurdeep Singh unfurled the flag and addressed the Directors and employees.

A series of programme was organised across different stations of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) to mark the 47th Raising Day.

NTPC Bongaigaon celebrated the 47th Raising Day. Executive Director, NTPC Bongaigaon, Subrata Mandal today unfurled the NTPC flag. The power station felicitated 13 meritorious students at nearby schools of Class X and XII under the Utkarsh scholarship policy of NTPC and handed over fruit-bearing saplings to them.

NTPC Limited, formerly known as National Thermal Power Corporation Limited, is an Indian statutory corporation. It engaged in generation of electricity and allied activities. It is a statutory corporation incorporated under the Companies Act 1956 and is under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Power, Government of India. The headquarters of the company is situated at New Delhi. NTPC’s core function is the generation and distribution of electricity to State Electricity Boards in India.

The body also undertakes consultancy and turnkey project contracts that involve engineering, project management, construction management, and operation and management of power plants.

NTPC is India’s largest power utility with an installed capacity of 67,657.5 MW (including JVs), plans to become a 130 GW company by 2032. Country’s largest power producer aims to be the world’s largest and best power major.
