NTPC Western Region II headquarters joined the country in celebrating 75th Independence Day celebrations today at the office premises at Nava Raipur amidst social distancing and strict following of all the protocols of COVID-19.

Regional Executive Director (RED) (West II and SR) Sanjay Madan hoisted the Tricolor and addressed the employees on the occasion. He said that NTPC had always contributed to the growth of the nation and ensured uninterrupted 24×7 power generation even during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

He also highlighted the recent achievement of NTPC achieving over 100 Billion Units (BU) of cumulative generation in the current financial year, reinforcing group’s commitment towards excellence in operation.

WR II stations at Korba ( (2600 MW) in Chhattisgarh is the top performing thermal power plant in India with 97.61 per cent Plant Load Factor (PLF) between April to June 2021. Under the aegis of Arpita Mahila Samiti President Smt Santosh Madan along with other senior members of the club felicitated Covid-Warriors on the occasion.
